How to enable push notifications for orders on Android devices
For some android devices, the push notifications which alert you about any orders you have been allocated, are sent silently by default.
This means you won’t get an audible drop-down notification when you receive an order, and makes it difficult to tell when you have been allocated an order.
Settings can vary, depending on the manufacturer. Please refer to your manufacturer’s guidelines on how to configure your notification settings if these instructions do not work. Please refer to these support docs for full details on how to correctly configure notifications.
To solve this issue - please follow the steps below on your android device.
Tip: If you don't see "Recently sent," you're using an older Android version. Instead, tap App notifications and tap the Gigable app.
5. You should also see a number of Notification categories, listed under Other. These will vary, depending on your device. These might be named something like Applications, Miscellaneous and rn-push-notifications.
6. Ensure these are all enabled, and tap on each category name to open additional options.
7. For each category - Ensure the following are enable where possible (Note: you may need to select Advanced when in the category to see some of these options):
a. Set the Gigable app category notifications to “Important”
b. Enable “Pop on screen” - this allows you to view the notifications as a banner, making them more visible.
c. Enable Vibration and Sound options (under Advanced)
